—All I Wanted

"I could follow you to the beginning
Just to relive the start
Maybe then we’d remember to slow down
At all of our favorite parts

All I wanted was you.”

Pianos Become The Teeth

Cripples Can’t Shiver - Pianos Become The Teeth

"Cripples Can’t Shiver" is a song about my father’s multiple sclerosis and me feeling helpless to do anything about it. I took the sound clip from a speech my mom gave about him at her church. I can see myself turning into my father, his MS has crippled him but he keeps a great attitude about it. This song is about how him being crippled has crippled my outlook on growing older. - Kyle Durfey

I never thought of myself as quiet, much less silent, I never thought about things at all, everything changed, the distance that wedged itself between me and my happiness wasn’t the world, it wasn’t the bombs and burning buildings, it was me, my thinking, the cancer of never letting go.

—Oskar, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer (via randomquotesilove)

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.

Keep busy with survival. Imitate the trees.

Being As An Ocean

—We Will Never Be The Same

We Will Never Be The Same || BAAO

The blind will see
The deaf will hear
Loving with every ounce of our being
We are made whole as we draw near
We will see Your purpose brought about on this earth

The heart dies a slow death, shedding each hope like leaves until one day there are none. No hopes. Nothing remains.

Come on girl you knew me what’d you do that for?
I am selfish to my very core.

Come on, let’s just have this fight today.
Say I’m worthless and you feel betrayed.
You do not listen and you turn away.
Come on baby, don’t leave, I’ve got more to say.
You know, someday there’ll be hell to pay.
